A Prepared Opium Divan of the 2nd. class
( ). This is possibly the oldest Divan in the Colony, and is much frequented by what one might call "connoisseurs" in opium. Some of the pipes are said to be very valuable. It came to the present holder at the death of his father 4 years ago. The father is said to have held it for about 20 years. They estimate the capital at about $480 and it is said that the pre- -sent holder refused $600 for it at the death of his father. Books are kept but not carefully.
